Re: Iriomote - hiking & camping
-----------------------------------
The end of the school year is near and I'm planning a little 2 week trip to Okinawa. It'll be good to escape from the winter, the place where I live, in Yamagata-ken, is in the middle of a snow storm right now...hehe.
Anyways, while planning my little trip, I spotted the Iriomote Cross-island hike in my Lonely Planet guidebook. Since it seems very interesting, I'm thinking of doing it. Now, I have a simple question, after looking around the internet, all of the Japanese pages I found were done by people who did the hike with a guide, since I travel alone, a guide would cost 30000y and I'm not very fond of guides in general. Because of that, I'm wondering, is it possible to do this hike alone without a guide?
Thanks,
