On most of the large beaches in Japan you will find absolutely everything you need (and even do not need)... at a price!

Typically, you have lodges - which are rebuilt every year - where you pay a nominal fee and can use showers, soaps, toilets and access the bar. This is not cheap (if I remember properly, it was around 1500 yen in Kamakura), but very comfortable. 

You will also find toilets and basic showers free of charges, but obviously, without any added service.
