Re: itineraries first time in Japan between july-august
-----------------------------------
That time of year in Tokyo and Japan in general is absurdly hot and humid. Almost impossible to walk around the city, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

Hiroshima for a day is a good choice, though getting there is expensive. Usually people get a JR pass and travel to multiple cities. Although a JR pass just to travel to Hiroshima could prove to be cheaper than a regular one-time ticket.

As for Tokyo, there are endless options. Some things you shouldn't miss:

- Nightlife in Shibuya
- Harajuku fashion district
- Akihabara electronic city
- Odaiba futuristic city
- Imperial Palace Gardens
- A summer festival, preferably with fireworks

And of course - food, food, food! Check out my blog (see signature below) for ideas.
