Hi there,

I'm a British guy living on Ishigaki. I moved here about 6 months ago. Although I'm still discovering the place I'd recommend that you visit sunset beach for the settins or Yonehara for the snorkelling. Sunset beach is great is it's more secluded and the view is fantastic (but it doesn't have so much coral).

In terms of sight seeing I'd really recommend [url=http://www.ishigaki-japan.com/sights/uganzaki]Uganzaki Lighthouse . It beats Hirakubo lighthouse for me in terms of dramatic scenery.

Anyway, if you're in Japan and you have the time I'd really recommend that you take time to visit Yaeyama.
